RiCrea Festival Program
20 - 21 - 22 October 2017

Ricrea Festival Ferrara

With the first edition of the RiCrea Festival, we put forward a program rich in urban regeneration and the many forms of re-use of public and private assets, whereby actors of creative social innovation and launch a cultural and technological enterprise. Over the course of three days, the RiCrea program brings together small businesses, institutions, local administrators and relevant "patient" creditors, promoters of good practices, academics, artists, and cultural associations. However, the highlight of the Festival is found in the presence of 200 millennials, high school students from Ferrara, who, after a period of training specifically designed by RiCrea promoters and teachers of the institutes involved under the programme 'alternating school/work', will be involved in individual groups in a 24 hour non-stop event, "Maratona24OreNonStop" aimed at transitioning young people from content consumers to connected, creative, digital, social players, skilled in VR, modeling, 3D printers, Arduino programming, as well as manual artisan craftwork and artistic creativity. The Festival, featuring workshops, talks and performances, will be drawn to a close with a round table discussion, hosted by experts and administrators that can provide a summary of the most relevant content emerging from the diverse range of activities. They will highlighting the major issues and opportunities for a different view of urban regeneration, the reuse of "zero cement" and "low financial intensity" of cultural and creative companies and associations. RiCrea's ambition is to produce a 'manifesto' of Commons oriented urban regeneration.

GLI OBIETTIVI DI RICREA

The RiCrea FERRARA FESTIVAL has multiple goals:

  • Offer creative and innovative tools to the millennials, involving them directly;
  • Establish interactive networks and multiply opportunities for all the interested social players;
  • Disseminate good practices, producing exchanges and comparisons between different players: individuals, especially young people, companies, associations, directors, researchers and social innovators;
  • Insist on demonstrating the ability to create not only work, enterprise, cultural and professional growth, innovation and social well-being, but also individual satisfaction through the collective action of multiple small-scale actors self-organized from the ground up;
  • Help establish Ferrara as one of the national hubs for most grounbreaking urban regeneration and cultural innovation;
  • Formulate and propose a shared manifesto of Commons oriented urban regeneration.
